About & standards
What we stand for.
Content Integrity is a professional media-accuracy service. The way we work is defined less by what we do than by the standards we refuse to cross.
When a published fact is wrong, or quietly falls out of date, that is the version the world keeps.
Readers cite it. Researchers repeat it. Search engines and AI systems learn from it and carry it forward. A single outdated figure or broken reference, left in place, becomes the record, and it shapes what people believe about the organizations that coverage is about.
Correcting that, carefully and with sources, is quiet work. It rarely makes news. But it is the difference between a public record that is accurate and one that is merely old. That is the work we do, and the reason we hold ourselves to a clear standard while we do it.
The standards we hold ourselves to
Four commitments, without exception.
- 01
Accuracy
We advocate only for what is true. Every change we suggest reflects the current, correct fact, checked and documented, never an opinion, a spin, or a preference.
- 02
Transparency
We are a commercial service that partners with clients, and we say so plainly. We never imply independence, neutrality, or an authority we do not hold.
- 03
Sourcing
Every claim we bring to a publisher is backed by a primary or authoritative source we can point to. If we cannot source it, we do not send it.
- 04
Courtesy
We respect the publisher’s editorial control and the editor’s time. We suggest, we never demand, and we accept a decision either way.
About Content Integrity
A commercial service, plainly stated.
Content Integrity is a media-accuracy and editorial-corrections service. Businesses and organizations engage us to help ensure that the existing coverage of their work is accurate, current, and complete. We do that by finding genuine problems in published articles and resource pages, verifying the correct facts, and bringing sourced suggestions to the publishers, in partnership with the clients whose work is covered.
We are not a newsroom, a nonprofit, a regulator, or a watchdog, and we do not claim to be. We are a service, we work for our clients, and we are open about that on every page and in every message we send. We believe that transparency is not a constraint on this work but the only foundation it can honestly stand on.
Content Integrity is based in New York. The operating detail behind these commitments, the sourcing hierarchy, what a correction request contains, and the rules our outreach follows, is published in full on our Standards and Method page.
